-: Note :-
These add-onz are NOT official patches/add-onz
and have NOT been checked by the IPCop
development team. They come with no warranty or guarantee
and you use them at your own risk. They may result in an
unsecured IPCop or worse, a non working IPCop. So check them
out before installing them and install them on a test box
first.
Lets get started on Setting up my 'IPCop Add-Onz System'.
The first thing you will need is SCP/WinSCP (http://winscp.sourceforge.net)
and set it up to run with your IPCop (Port 222) Remembering
to tern On SSH access via the www Admin GUI.
Step 1:
!!!! BACKUP YOUR IPCop CONFIGURATION !!!!
To do this, make sure there is a Blank 1.44Mb Floppy Disk
in the IPCopz FDD Drive, Then using the www Admin GUI make a
Backup of you config to the Floppy Disk.
Step 2:
SCP the 13x-Base.tar.gz file across to the /tmp Dir on the
IPCop.
Step 3:
Now we need use an SSH Session to do the rest of the
Setup, So using PuTTY (Download
PuTTY)
Login to your IPCop via SSH and type:-
root@firewall:~
#
cd /tmp
root@firewall:/tmp
#
tar -zxvf 13x-Base.tar.gz -C ./
./
./addons.tar.gz
./install.sh
root@firewall:/tmp
#
./install.sh
|
This should run a Quick Setup Script that will setup the
Add-Onz system for you. (If I made it right)
Once this is Complete the Add-Onz system should be Ready
for Use......
Step 4:
Make sure the Add-Onz List is Updated by going to the NEW
Add-Onz page in the www GUI under System on the left hand
side, and selecting 'refresh add-on list'. This should then
connect to my Add-Onz Server
and download the most resent Add-Onz List.
If no Error messages appear and some Available Add-Onz
Appear then the Add-Onz System is working.
That's It !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As Easy As That.
-: Note :-
If you have an Add-On that you would like to see added to
my Add-Onz Server please contact me On the IPCop Mailing
Lists (User/Devel) and let me & the List know. It may be
that the update you are looking for is already available. If anyone would like to help, again please contact me
on the Mailing Lists and I am sure we can work something
out.
